Spritz, aka Teeter was purchased by her former owner with the hopes of her being a
barrel racing horse. An unexpected EPM (Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis) diagnosis cut
that dream short, devastating her former owner. When a younger horse develops a neurological disease, they usually cannot continue to perform due to balance issues and subsequently, they become expensive lawn ornaments. Spritz’s previous owner loved her dearly but couldn’t afford to keep a horse with his type of maintenance while pursuing her dream of barrel racing. Spritz aka Teeter is wobbly in the pasture but is happy to be in great company. Her treatment is extremely expensive but we’re hoping she can live a long and happy life despite her diagnosis.
