Doc is guessed to be about 21 years old. He’s a beautiful bay gelding who didn’t
have the kindest relationship with people, having been a failed guide horse who was routinely mistreated and abused due to his wrongful placement in the guide horse discipline. Doc came to us super shy and quick to react to any kind of movement. Today, he has learned to trust people and rely on them for companionship and gentle handling—a stark contrast from what he was used to. Doc lets our granddaughter climb aboard and he’ll happily tote her wherever she wants
to go.
